Materials related to BalticAIMS

Below please find the descriptions of the EO and other datasets available in the BalticAIMS project demonstration material -theme of the Tarkka service. The list is under construction.

Turbidity (xcube)

• SYKE 60 m – Surface water turbidity estimates processed by Syke from Sentinel-2 A&B MSI images with a pixel size of 60 m.

• HROC 100 m, daily – Surface water turbidity estimates processed by CMEMS with a pixel size of 100 m. HROC means High Resolution Ocean Color. More details in (https://myocean.marine.copernicus.eu/data?view=dataset&dataset=OCEANCOLOUR_BAL_BGC_HR_L4_NRT_009_208 )

Sea Surface Temperature (xcube)

• 100 m, TIRS LC8/9 – Surface water temperature estimates processed by Syke from Landsat 8&9 TIRS images with a pixel size of 100 m

• 1 km, SLSTR S3A/B – Surface water temperature estimates processed by Syke from Sentinel-3 A&B images with a pixel size of 1 km

• 2 km, CMEMS model (coming soon) – Surface water temperature estimates modeled by CMEMS: BALTICSEA_ANALYSISFORECAST_PHY_003_006 with a pixel size of 2 km

Land cover

• Corine (xcube, 2000, 2006, 2012, 2018, FI, GO, MV) – Corine land cover classes (EU level version with 25 ha resolution) for demo areas Finland , Gotland and Meckelburg-Vorpommern and for the indicated reference years. The reference year can be selected by selecting a suitable date in the calendar.

• High resolution Corine (xcube, 2000, 2006, 2012, 2018, FI) – Corine land cover classes (Finnish national version with 25 m pixel resolution) for the Finnish demo area and for the indicated reference years. The reference year can be selected by selecting a suitable date in the calendar.

• Corine land cover (Finland, 2018) – Corine land cover classes (Finnish national version with 25 m pixel resolution) for the Finnish demo area and for the reference year 2018. Timeseries

• Dredging dump areas (xcube) – Areas where material extracted from dredging sites is deposited.

• Station sites – These are locations stations where in situ samples are collected for lab analysis. In addition to in situ observations, we provide time series of satellite observations.

• Water bodies – Areas defined for WFD
